Question Of The Day #10: Identify.

Weekly Theme: Football

X started his career at Leeds United. X was sold to a northeast club in England, even though he made the first team squad at Leeds. He impressed at the club but he also suffered a number of injury problems. His performances in Europe for them led to a European giant club signing X. Injuries blighted his time there, as he failed to make a single appearance during the entire season. He endured an awful debut as he scored an own goal and was later sent off for two bookable offences.  He went on to play 14 times for them before re-joining his hometown club on loan and eventually on a permanent transfer. He then joined a London club for whom he scored in a cup final. He later signed on a pay-as-you-play deal with Stoke City and later returned to his hometown club when his contract expired.
