CSLQ 2.0 successfully conducted on September 28, 2014

Quizzing Club of IIM Raipur successfully conducted second edition of Chhattisgarh State Level Quiz on September 28, 2014 at the Queens Club of India, Raipur. We witnessed tremendous response from the student community of Chhattisgarh and participants from all corners of the state participated in the event with zeal. CSLQ 1.0 conducted last year paved the way for the beginning of a promising quizzing culture across the state.



The Quizmaster was Prof. Vinita Sahay, Chairperson (Fellow Programmes) IIM Raipur. Many people from the corporate graced the occasion as well - most notably:
·                     Mr. N Meharbaba, Deputy General Manager, Canara Bank; 
·                     Mr. Garge, Assistant General Manager, Canara Bank;
·                     Mr. Tarang Singhal, Dept. of Community Relations, BALCO, an IIM Raipur alumnus.
·                     Mr. Saurabh Chaubey of IMS, an IIM Raipur alumnus.

College Prelims:

Teams from various colleges across the state of Chhattisgarh, participated in the event and the top six teams qualified for the finals of the event.




College Finals:

The finalists were:
Smruti Prakash & Dushyant Panda- IIM Raipur
Pranjal Kishore &  Sidharth Madhavan- HNLU
Nitin Goyal & Rajat Bhaldi- NIT Raipur
Chandan & Yogesh- Durga College
Arpit Bajpai & Abhishek Mukherjee - IIM Raipur
Piyush Mishra & Akshay Pillay- NIT Raipur


The final round was tense with IIM Raipur team of Dushyant & Smruti in lead by 1 point over HNLU before the final buzzer round. IIM Raipur held their nerves and emerged victorious over HNLU by a margin of 1 point.

The winners received a trophy and a cash prize of Rs. 20000, and the runners-up got a prize money of Rs. 10000.



School Prelims:

Teams from various schools across the state of Chhattisgarh, participated in the event and the top six teams qualified for the finals of the event.

The finalists were:
Aviraj Pandey & Shishya Goyal- Kanger Valley Academy  
Sachin Kumar Sahu & Abhinav Bharadwaj- Kendriya Vidyalaya – 1
Mukund Choudhary & Jaypuri Goswami- Krishna Public School
Vikas Bhagat & Atul Mishra- Jawahar Navodya Vidyalaya
Ojas Agrawal & Arnav Mishra- Delhi Public School
Binit Agrawal & Sanskar Singh- Holy Cross Hr. Sec. School

Final round had a nail-biting finish with two teams tied at second position. Krishna Public School emerged victorious and Kendriya Vidyalaya- 1 were the runners up.

The winners received a trophy and a cash prize of Rs. 10000, and the runners-up got a prize money of Rs. 5000.
